You make my case perfectly because your “facts” and mine are mutually exclusive, so at least one of us has his facts wrong.
If I’m wrong, and the impeachment trial proves Trump guilty of something, I’ll be able to revise the “facts” as I know them and discard the sources (including the Special Counsel) that gave them to me.
If I’m right, and Trump’s lawyer (How about an ultra-liberal lawyer, someone you might trust, say…Alan Dershozitz?) makes the case for his innocence, you’ll have to revise the “facts” your sources of news have provided you and reconsider where you get your news.
Either way, an impeachment trial will reveal the truth, the real “facts”, and allow reasonable people to adjust their opinions, rather than continue stating their opinions and adjusting their facts.
