Muslims don’t care whether you’re religious. They kill atheists too.

There are at least two things lacking in your vision of the issue:

One — between 65% and 85% of Muslims polled (depending on the country in which they live) think Sharia law should be imposed on everyone on earth, not just Muslims, everyone. Thus, it’s not just “extremist” Muslims who’re involved, it’s a majority of the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims.

Two — they aren’t killing us and themselves for publicity. They die by the nameless thousands in the Middle East, anonymously killing anonymous infidels. They don’t care whether you’re religious or not. Their instruction is to kill or enslave everyone, including atheists, who isn’t an observant Muslim.

I’m guessing you’re uninformed about Islam. That’s a mistake, a mistake non-Muslims have made frequently over the past 14 centuries, always to their regret.

As long as you think of Islam as a religion you won’t understand it.

You’ll note, if you read my other posts about Islam, I call it a manual for tribal war. In the very beginning, for the first few years, Islam was a financial scam but, after the Meccans banished Muhammad, it became a means of mobilizing people to fight against Muhammad’s Meccan enemies, a means of revenge.

Enemies vanquished, Muhammad aimed his machine at enrichment.

In the midst of the vanquishing, Muhammad’s gang massacred a bunch of Meccan caravaners and brought home a rich treasure. When they arrived, Muhammad saw the treasure and went into the swoon he always assumed when Allah was talking to him, and when he recovered minutes later, told his followers Allah had sent a message to him via the angel Gabriel, saying from that day forward, every Muslim warrior must give 20% of the wealth he captured to Allah’s favorite human, Muhammad.

And that’s how it went for the rest of his life, 20% of all the loot his followers took from those they murdered or enslaved went to the holiest of all men, Allah’s messenger, Muhammad.

Years later, now an old man on his deathbed, instructing his followers to sweep from the earth all who didn’t believe in Allah and didn’t follow him, Allah’s prophet and the source of all knowledge, Muhammad promptly died, leaving the pillage and plunder machine on autopilot.

For 14 centuries the rest of the world has tried to stay out of the way, but since Islam is fundamentally unproductive and the machine needs plunder, it must and repeatedly does seek us out.

The rest of humankind has tried repeatedly to leave Islam alone in its corner of the world but repeatedly, Islam has refused to stay there, and forced itself back onto the rest of us. Humankind has repeatedly tried to pretend some Muslims are reasonable and can coexist with us. Those reasonable Muslims have repeatedly proven humankind wrong.

The reality is, all Muslims are a disappointment or insult away from becoming Jihadis or homicide bombers because, death while killing infidels is their one and only sure, instant ticket to paradise.

Oh, and having spent most of my life surrounded by religious or nonreligious Christians and religious or nonreligious atheists and more than a decade surrounded by Muslims, I can say, even though I’m not religious, the Christian world is the place to be.

I’m not religious. I’m rational.
