“The 15:17 to Paris”

In 2015 three young Americans stopped a terrorist attack on a French high speed train. On February 9th Clint Eastwood lets them tell you their story.

On August 21st, 2015 Ayoub El-Khazzani boarded a French passenger train. Inside his bag were two guns, 300 rounds of ammunition, a knife, and a can of gasoline.

He claimed, after the fact, to have assembled the knife, the guns and ammunition to commit a burglary.

He couldn’t explain the gasoline.

By the time he got to court, no one cared. His intentions were obvious.

He’d wounded one passenger, attacked several more with the knife, and tried to shoot the rest of them. He was frustrated in his real goal by luck (both of his guns jammed) and the actions of two young American servicemen, Spencer Stone and Alek Skarlatos, and their university student friend, Anthony Sadler.

If that story sounds interesting, see this film. It will be faster and cheaper than reading the book (“The 15:17 to Paris: The True Story of a Terrorist, a Train and Three American Heroes”).
