Don’t take my word for it…in fact, you shouldn’t.

You should read the Quran and Hadith yourself.

In fact, because of the Quranic command that all Muslims hide the truth about Jihad (taqiiya, strategic lying) the only way to know what Muslims really believe is to read the source documents yourself. Fortunately, they’re widely available. I own a Quran and an abridged Hadith (900 pages) and they’re widely available should you choose to become informed on this very important issue.

Violent Jihad is the explicit command of the Quran, which cannot be altered. The verses commanding Jihad abrogate the verses about peace and coexistence. The Hadith goes on to elaborate on the details of what the Quran requires regarding Jihad. It has nothing to do with seeking internal peace. It is all about physical conquest and all but the physically disabled are required to take up arms and join the fight. (The Hadith uses the example of a blind man, who cannot wield a sword.)

As I have said in one of my other posts, a Muslim who doesn’t believe in Jihad is like a Lutheran who doesn’t believe Christ was the son of God or a Catholic who doesn’t believe the Pope is God’s representative on Earth. Jihad isn’t just a central tenet of Islam, it was also Muhammad’s dying command to his followers.

This is known to all Muslims. Those who deny it are engaging in taqiiya. Those experts who deny it are engaging in wishful thinking or willful deceit.

The source documents and the last 1400 years of history carry much more weight than unsupported pronouncements.
